Bright Stars dent Villa’s title hopes
Tough to take in: Villa dropped three crucial points

FOOTBALL | In a season that is wide open, SC Villa were looking to squeeze into the seat beside StarTimes Uganda Premier League leaders BUL but they left their temporary home of Wankulukuku feeling dejected after being pegged back by Soltilo Bright Stars.

The record 16-time champions, Villa, had to fight back after the visitors took the lead through Ashraf Mulindi after hour mark - Patrick Jonah Kakande's equaliser six minutes later salvaging a point.

The third straight draw leaves Villa in fourth place on the log, four points adrift leaders BUL.

Vipers have the big chance to move closer to a third straight title when they host Maroons at the St Mary’s Stadium in Kitende in a night affair to be broadcast live on Sanyuka Prime.
